The Bershad community is once again in mourning…

A Defender of Ukraine has fallen in battle—Pavlo Mykolayovych Sharamkov, born in 1982.

A native of Zaporizhzhia, Pavlo settled in Osiyivka with his family after the full-scale war began. On October 20, 2025, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On August 21, 2026, the soldier was killed while carrying out a combat mission near Novorozivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The vehicle in which Pavlo was traveling was struck by an enemy FPV drone.

The hero was laid to rest with due honor and respect. The “I Want to Live” Charitable Foundation organized a ceremonial send-off for the defender—with dignity, respect, and gratitude for his courage and sacrifice for Ukraine.

The “I Want to Live” Charitable Foundation will continue to stand by the families of our heroes and do everything possible to ensure that every defender returns home with honor.
