On January 12, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in the Toretsk area of Donetsk Oblast, Dmytro Stanislavovych Kornyushin, a Defender of Ukraine and employee of the “Kozatska” mine at JSC “Kryvbaszalyzrudkom,” was killed.

Dmytro was born in Kryvyi Rih on September 7, 1973. He worked in the mining industry for many years, and since 2016, he had served as a blaster at the “Kozatska” mine.

On August 14, 2024, Dmytro was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a soldier in Military Unit A7028 and defended Ukraine until the very end.

On August 19, the Hero was laid to rest in his hometown of Kryvyi Rih. Representatives of the “I Want to Live” Charitable Foundation and the foundation’s director, Andriy Sinyavsky, participated in the ceremony. Moments like these hold special significance for our foundation. We consider it our duty to stand by the families of our defenders, to support them, and to help give a dignified send-off to the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine.

He is survived by his wife, Veronika Anatoliivna.

We extend our sincere condolences to Dmytro’s family, friends, colleagues, and comrades-in-arms.

May the Hero of Ukraine rest in eternal peace and glory!
